I’m Andreu, and I run The Hosting Corner on my own. I build and operate websites, several of them on WordPress, and I started this site after one too many hosting comparisons that answered the wrong question.
Most comparisons ask which host is “best”. The question I actually had was simpler: what will this plan cost me after the first term, and is it the right size for what I am building?
In shared hosting, the renewal price is often several times the advertised entry price. It is disclosed and it is legal, but it is rarely in the comparison table. That is where this site starts: with the second number.
What this site is
A decision tool rather than a ranking. Different sites need different hosting, so the useful output is a match, not a winner. Most of what we publish is one of four things: what a plan costs over its full life, which plan within a provider fits, what a provider’s limits are according to its own documentation, and where to go when you outgrow what you have.
What this site is not
I do not run a hosting test lab. I host sites with a small number of providers and I say which ones. For everything else I work from published documentation and link to it. How we verify hosting data explains where that line sits.
How the site makes money
Through affiliate commissions, disclosed on every page that carries them. How we make money covers what that does and does not influence.
