This policy explains what personal data thehostingcorner.com (“the site”) processes, why, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Andreu E., C/ La Font, Crevillent, Spain. Contact: hello@thehostingcorner.com.
What data we process and why
- Server logs. When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Hostinger) records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is necessary to deliver the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analytics. If you accept statistics cookies in the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to measure which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Analytics does not load until you give consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and you can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie settings.
- Affiliate link clicks. Links to providers pass through a /go/ redirect on this site. We log the click (date, page and link) to see which links are used; the log may include your IP address. Once you reach the provider’s site, that provider’s own privacy policy and cookies apply, including any affiliate tracking cookie it sets (legitimate interest).
- Email. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed (legitimate interest).
We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising networks on the site, and the site has no user accounts, comments or newsletter.
Cookies
Details of the cookies used and how to change your choice are in our Cookie Policy.
Recipients and international transfers
Data is processed by Hostinger (hosting) and, only with your consent, Google (analytics). Google may transfer data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics data is retained for 2 months, the Google Analytics default. Server logs and click logs are kept only as long as needed for security and statistics. Emails are deleted once the matter is resolved.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and request data portability, by writing to hello@thehostingcorner.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
